would have called this dusk
for this is but the second draft of a thought manifested days ago
a myriad of colours with its showy hues
of pinks, purples, and blue.
colours rare and between in an urban landscape
with scarcely any space for displaying one’s natural glamour.
pigments settling into place
rendering one beyond words,
but never beyond thoughts that touch one’s deeper crevices.
with the most tender of indentations
and breathtaking of caresses,
purple multiplied to meld with a blue so calm and muted
one could almost hear it hush the world whose eyes lay upon it.
a buzzer clutched in an almost careless grip,
a ‘sigh’ silently emitted from one’s throat for such grace.
an immense blessing to see concrete façades bathed in pastels deemed worthy of applause and admiration,
far from a mediocre end to a day of mundanities.
